Daily Mug Shot

Good Morning Moon Monkey Junkies~ this mornings mug shot is Michael Hyatt, CEO of Thomas Nelson. I will always begin each post on this blog with a "mug shot" it's a play on words of course...I love to play with words.... so for Mug Shots you'll see leaders, artists, mugs & also the mugs with extraordinary coffee.
I would encourage you to read his blog post for today over a extraordinary cup of coffee.
Michael summarizes what he has learned by blogging over the last 5 years or so... I can relate to his first one...
"Blogging helps me clarify my own thinking. This is probably the primary benefit of blogging for me. Sometimes I am not sure what I think about a topic until I have written on it. Writing helps me untangle my thoughts. My next favorite is all the amazing folks I have met on twitter. a trible of folks I've come to lean on with a 140 characters for inspiration, & reflection. Follow me on twitter givelovecoffee.
Life is for celebrating. This ain't no ordinary love! stayed tuned to this blogspot I will be reviewing books for Thomas Nelson & posting and looking forward to your feedback here.

Daily Mug Shot

Today's mugshot is a pen & ink drawing from my then 14 year old son Ryan. I have been lost in cyber space connecting with marketplace leaders, artists, and everyday ordinary folks passionate about life & coffee. Artists, musican's, authors, leaders, all changing the view of the world in a 140 characters. So thankful of this medium to connect. In the days and weeks to come by blog will have posts from books I'm reading from publisher Thomas Nelson. First up, my mentor, Andy Stanley and his book Principle of the Path! More then ever I'm commited to encourging leaders and artists as they impact and add value to others in their everyday ordinary life. Visit often, follow me on twitter. givelovecoffee/twitter.com This ain't no ordinary love...

Daily Mug Shot

Good Morning~ Moon Monkey Junkies~ Alfred inspired me today~Be inspired by his story below...and givelovecoffee.org go out MAD=make a difference right where you are today! be reative if you have to be wait passionately...www.evotional.com
he is The world's only analog blogger? He "blogs" daily in Liberia, Africa without power or a computer. 10,000 readers a day! http://is.gd/oByz Alfred Sirleaf is a blogger. Not just any blogger - no sir, Alfred is an analog blogger. He runs the "Daily News," a news hut in the middle of Monrovia, the capital of a Liberia, a country on the west coast of Africa. The lack of electricity doesn’t even faze him:
Alfred serves as a reminder to the rest of us, that simple is often better, just because it works. The lack of electricity never throws him off. The lack of funding means he’s creative in ways that he recruits people from around the city and country to report news to him. He uses his cell phone as the major point of connection between him and the 10,000 (he says) that read his blackboard daily.
Not all Liberians who read his news are literate, so he makes use of symbols. Whether it’s a UN or military helmet, a poster of a soccer player or a bottle of colored water to denote gas prices, he is determined to get the message out in any way that he can.
